Working Solutions internet requirements for work-from-home jobs
Working Solutions does not accept wireless or cellular internet of any kind — its own blog names T-Mobile and Verizon home internet as not allowed — because every client contract prohibits wireless connections. Contractors need DSL, cable, or fiber with a wired Ethernet connection to the computer.

What Working Solutions actually says
“Recently, T-Mobile and Verizon have been heavily advertising their wireless internet offers. While the price and speeds seem fantastic, neither of them is allowed here at Working Solutions.”— Working Solutions — 'Wireless Internet: Not in Our Line of Work, but Why?' · source
Working Solutions' bring-your-own-technology guide adds: 'wireless is convenient, but still not secure for critical applications. You will need wired networking in any machine you choose.'
Does your address qualify for Working Solutions?
Check in 30 seconds. If a wired connection is available, we'll set it up with Ethernet at your desk before your start date.
Check My AddressWhat passes for Working Solutions
A wired connection — fiber, cable, or DSL — with an Ethernet cable from your computer to the router. Fiber is the strongest fit for Working Solutions's requirements: upload speed matches download speed, latency stays low and consistent, and weather doesn't affect it.
If you're on satellite, a cellular hotspot, or 5G home internet, no speed test will get you past Working Solutions's rule — the connection type is what's being checked. The fix is a wired line, installed with the Ethernet connection in the room where you'll work.
Before your Working Solutions tech check
- Confirm a wired provider reaches your address (check above).
- Run Ethernet to your workspace — not just to the router's room.
- Turn off Wi-Fi and any VPN on the work computer.
- Run a speed test on the wired line and screenshot it.
